I {Heart} Gifts!!!

I have to admit it... I LOVE gifts. I feel special when people give them to me. My heart pitter patters and they make me smile. I mean when you get a gift from someone it really makes a difference... Especially when it's homemade!!!

Mique was one of our Create Better Images Workshop attendees. She actually won our giveaway that we did. (We gave 1 seat away to a deserving person). She has an amazing story of finding her love for photography and an amazing heart for what she wants to do with her photography. She is an inspiration. You can read her story here.

When she arrived the day of the workshop she gave both Jennifer and I a framed hand made picture of a camera with our logos embroidered. It was awesome!!! I had to share a picture of this amazing talent. I didn't even know you could do this... (I don't sew or embroider, so this is cool to me!!)

Anyways thank you Mique. I really appreciate the gift!!!

My TV Addictions

There are so many good things on TV right now. So much in fact that I can't keep up with everything!! I've been staying up way to late trying to keep up with my DVR.

Today I thought I would share some of my favorite addictions with you because I want to know that i'm not alone... how many of you are addicted? What are your favorite shows? If you watch these three shows, tell me what you think about what is happening with these shows?

24.... my husband and I have been addicted since the day this show came out. It was kinda one of the first ones that we started following when we got married and it's so crazy how you just keep getting drawn in.

Come on people... you know that Jack is on our side, after these many years can't you figure that out? So frustrating!

Hereos...
If you haven't ever watched this one it's a good one to get addicted to; however, you have to start from the beginning or it's confusing as heck. Well, it's confusing and insane anyways. They keep mixing it up.

Seriously Sylar.. are you good or bad? Make up your mind so I can either hate you or like you!

Lost... I think that this one is my favorite and it's the one I feel like I have begun to really LOVE the characters. It's crazy how you start a journey with these characters and then feel like you actually know them and what they are going through. How does TV do that to you? It's way too emotional. Again, you have to watch this one from season 1 or you are going to be WAY to confused. It's an emotional roller coaster.

Please go save your friends.. don't trust Ben (I think), but your friends need you.

Update on Aaron Robinson

If you have been following my blog you know that one of my past clients (3 year old Aaron Robinson) has just been diagnosed with cancer. It has been so hard on him and his family and I want to do everything possible that I can to help them out. They are of course having financial difficulties because of the expenses that occur with Cancer treatments.

One way that you can all help is to log into his Care Page that Barbara, Aaron's mom, has created for them. The more support they have from the community the better and the more people that know of Aaron's disease, the better it will be financially to support the family. This way you can also be updated on his status.

If you would like to log into his care page you can view it at: http://www.carepages.com/carepages/AaronRobinson

You will have to create an account, but it will give you all the updates on this little guy! Please stand in prayer and faith with us on this!

Also, coming very soon I will be announcing another way that you can help Aaron and also get some great pictures out of it!

Aaron Robinson Update

I just found out this information from Aaron's mother.... many people have wanted me to keep them updated on his progress so I thought I would share this.

----

The preliminary information shows that the cancer is only at the tumor site on the leg with a few very small nodules in the lungs. We'll start chemo probably tomorrow (Wednesday), then we will begin a routine of 2-3 days doing chemo in the hospital, then three weeks at home. This will last for about a year. This will be a very long road and we don't know how well he will tolerate the chemo. We will make weekly hospital visits to have his white blood cells checked.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support! We have felt them lifting us up!

Please keep in your prayers

Little Aaron Robinson - Please keep in your prayers

Many of you have followed the life of Aaron Robinson through the pictures on my blog... this is an awesome and amazing kid and I have come to cherish and love him very much. I have photographed him since he was little and have also photographed his little brother too.

I just found out the other day that Aaron is in the hospital because he has cancer. They just recently found out about this and are trying to run tests to see what type of cancer he has and what they need to do to treat him.

I don't have many details but I would really appreciate it if you would keep this little guy and his family in your prayers.

Little Miss Kailee Jarman

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Well, it has been almost 3 weeks since I last posted and that means that Kailee is almost 3 weeks old! Wow, time does fly!

I don't think that anything can really prepare you for parent hood and the first few weeks of bringing home your new bundle of joy! It's been a little insane over here as we are adjusting to life with our new little girl!

She is so amazing and wonderful and we LOVE her with all of our hearts... but oh vey, has it been a journey! No sleep at all and countless feeding times... I no longer have time for myself it all goes to my precious little girl!!!

I want to thank you all for your patience in all of this! I am so behind on emails and each day hope to answer at least a few to try to keep up.

In the meantime I wanted to share some pictures with you that I took of Kailee on the day we were leaving the hospital! Of course I have so many more since that day, but have had no time to look at them yet.... so here are some of my favorites.. She is 2 days old!!

Love this pictures with Daddy!

Kailee Michelle Jarman is here!!!

Kailee Michelle Jarman is finally here. She was born on July 29th at 1:48 PM. She weighs 6 lbs 4 ounces and is 18 3/4 inches. She is absolutely gorgeous and looks just like her daddy!!! It has been a rough day because she came out having a hard time breathing so they took her straight to the ICU and has been there all day. We've been able to visit her and she is doing great... we hope that tonight we will be able to have her in the room with us.

I'm doing great and recovering well from the whole thing. I'm just so excited to get to hold my little baby girl!

I want to thank my very very good friend Rebeca Bouck for coming out and taking a few pictures for us. She just emailed me the picture above so I could blog it... it is gorgeous! Thank you Rebecca!!!

The two pictures below are of Kailee in the ICU. Stay tuned for more... but once we actually have her in the room I think that blogging is going to take a back burner for awhile... so it might be a little while!

Welcome to the world little miss Kailee Michelle!!!

Baby Update

Well Kailee has decided to be stubborn!! Today is her official due date and she is still not here!

Jamie says that she is late like her mom and stubborn like her dad!! Oh no, not already!!!!:)

I am hanging in there, but am very ready to meet my brand new little girl! The last stages of pregnancy definitely wear on you and I'm feeling it, but soon she will be here and life will be good!!!

I've been working quite a bit still, but things are slowing down! Melanie is still in the office and we are still checking messages and emails... just please be patient with us as we embark on this new journey!!!

I will update you all again once the little girl decides to make her grand entrance!! And there will be pictures!!! Lots of pictures!!!

New Camera!!!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I've been searching hi and lo for a great point and shoot camera since my very old one of 4 years just died. After asking all of you for advice and doing some research I decided to buy the Canon 870 IS, mostly because it has a wide angle lens!! So far I really like it.

I started playing with it and took a couple pictures of my wonderful kitty, J-Lo and also Kailee's almost finished room. It did a pretty good job.

I will always still love my 5D and nothing can compare, but it is nice having a small camera to run around with!

It's update and Contest time!!!

Things are going to be slowing down around the studio for the next few months as we are anticipating the arrival of the next addition to the Jarman Family, Baby Kailee! Please have patience with us as we navigate this new season of life and business. Melanie will continue to be in the studio on a regular, though limited, basis to return phone calls, emails, etc. Things will be back in full swing starting in October as we are completely booked with weddings and sessions for that month! If you are needing to place an order or schedule a session, please contact us in the next week in order for us to best serve you!

Also, because I haven't done a contest in a long time I thought it would be fun to do a baby contest!!!

Contest time:

Kailee's due date is July 26th, in just a couple of weeks!!! So I want everyone to chime in and tell me when you think she will actually be born (the date and time). The person that gets closest to her date and time of birth will get a $10 ITunes Gift certificate!!!

All you have to do is comment on when you think she will be born and then stay tuned for the update when she finally comes! Once things slow down a little bit we will look at all the comments and the winner will get a $10 ITunes Gift Card!

I might not be updating as regularly because of everything that will be going on, but I hope to let you all know once Kailee is born and at least post a couple of pictures!!! I'm in for a wild ride... wish me luck!!!

The Pregnant Belly!!! - Part 1

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I have had many requests to see pictures of my belly.... and although this is very hard for me to post up here for the world to see I had to do it!!!

I am so lucky to have wonderful friends who are photographers! My friend Jennifer Bowen went out with Jamie and I a few weeks ago and took "Maternity" pictures! It was so weird being on the other side of the camera, and in all actuality this if the first time in our lives that we have actually gotten "professional pictures" taken of us... I know, I know.. sad huh?

But, all in all we had such a great time and i'm really happy with the pictures, although I am too critical of myself:):).

It was a fun experience because Jen was making me do things that I make my clients do and I didn't realize what I put you all through to get great pictures:):) But it's worth it right??

So, here are just a few... I haven't had a chance to go through all of them, so once I do I will post additional ones!

Thanks Jennifer for doing this for us... we will cherish them forever!!
