We have been so busy with shooting lately that I haven't blogged in forever. I have so many blogs to come, but wanted to share a sneak peak of the Summers Family!!!
Trisa called us a few weeks ago and booked a session over the phone. I LOVE it when that happens.
I met up with her amazing family about a week ago to take some family pictures. We had so much fun and I adore her kids! I wanted to share a sneak peak of one of my favorite pics! I'm meeting with them next week for their viewing session so I can't give too much away!
Stay tuned for lot more images from lot more clients... plus pictures of the Grand Opening Party of our new Studio!!

Holiday Mini Session 09'
I was at Home Depot yesterday and realized that they already have the Christmas trees and decorations out. It always surprises me how early they get those out, but then I realized in all reality 2 months really isn’t that long, especially considering how busy the holidays get. It then made me start thinking about all the things that I need to do to make sure that this year I actually decorate for Christmas. The list is already pretty long!! I better start soon!
One of the things on my list is Family Christmas Pictures. Every year we do some fun type of photo session and send out cards with the best pictures. Sending out fun and creative Christmas cards with pictures of my family are one of my favorite things to do during the holidays. I love receiving fun cards too! However, I believe the key to a good Holiday Card is the picture... those are the cards I keep on my fridge year round.
This time of year is busy and it’s hard to schedule time to get that great picture, so I am announcing a fun thing this year, Holiday Mini Sessions.
Holiday Mini Sessions are a great way to capture some really fun pictures of your family in a short time for a little less than you would normally spend on a full family session. They include creative and different Holiday cards that will be sure to make it on every fridge that you send them to!! We will have 2 different dates available for you to choose from and each session will be 25 minutes long.
What is the cost and what is included?
Cost: $225
Includes:
- 25 minute session to capture as many images as we possibly can, both traditional and casual
- Your choice of one digital file or 24 foldable Holiday cards (created by us). Additional cards are available for purchase if you need more than 24.
- One facebook image for each image you purchase. Facebook images will be watermarked with the Kimberly Jarman logo. The image will be the same one you purchased.
The digital files, other than the facebook images are not available for sale. You must purchase a print to receive it as a facebook image.
The $225 is due at the time of booking. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time to ensure everyone is ready. Make sure everyone is your party is dressed and ready to go. We will not be able to go over our scheduled time.
Parents, please make sure your kids are fed and ready to go. Feel free to bring any items that will help kids relax and have fun... bribery with goldfish crackers or other treats is absolutely allowed and encouraged!! Also feel free to bring a special toy that will help them if needed.
Your images will be ready to view 2 weeks after the sessions. You will need to schedule a time to come into the studio to view your images and choose your card choice. At this time if there are other images you would like to purchase you can do so.
What are the dates for the sessions?
Dates: November 7th and November 22nd
November 7th - Off the Beaten Path - A Ghost Town (Old Buildings and Cars and something totally different and unique - Very Arizona)
November 22nd - Downtown Scottsdale at the Civic Center (grass, trees, and some fun old buildings for different textures)
Times: (these are the times for both dates)
2:00 - 2:25 (November 22nd booked)
2:30 - 2:55
3:15 - 3:40
3:45 - 4:10
4:15 - 4:40
4:45 - 5:10
What Holiday Mini Sessions are:
- A great time to capture some priceless pictures of your family.
- A great time to get fun and creative with your pictures. To do something different and fun.
- A short session geared to capture at least one phenomenal picture to use for your Holiday Cards.
- A great way to get some great prints for your walls if you’ve been wanting to fill those empty spaces with fun pictures.
What Holiday Mini Session are NOT:
- A full blown session with multiple outfit changes or locations
- A time to do multiple different sets of family (i.e. Having your extended family come out and do different group settings all in 30 minutes. We won’t have enough time to do something like this, but would love to do this for you in a normal session time.
- A senior session, baby session, or engagement session (All of these sessions take much more time than we can fit in 25 minutes. I encourage you to contact us for more information on these types of sessions!!)

Jacob's Headshots | Arizona Headshots | Photography
Musicians are fun to photograph!!! A few weeks ago I photographed head shots for Jacob. He is a conductor and needed some headshots for promotional material. We had a great time getting some really great shots for him to use.
I love doing head shots because I do them differently than the traditional head shot and I give you a lot more options than you would normally get. If you need new headshots feel free to shoot me over an email.

2nd Annual Pictures in the Pines - Pinetop/Lakeside Family Portraits
I'm so excited to announce our 2nd Annual Pictures in the Pines.
June 1-6 I will be taking portraits exclusively in the Pinetop/Showlow area.
If you haven't had family pictures taken in awhile or were wanting to get some taken, now is the time to do it. Get out of the heat of the Valley and take a day trip, weekend trip, or heck even the whole week, to go up to Pinetop and enjoy the cool weather.
We have a couple of amazing locations to take pictures in and they are unlike anything that you will get in the valley. Green, trees, beautiful fields. I promise you will love it.
The price is $500 and with that you will receive a credit worth $300 to purchase prints.
BUT
I am going to do something i've never ever ever done before.......
The First 4 families that book a session (Monday - Friday) will receive the entire session fee as a credit for prints. That means that when you pay $500 for your session, all $500 goes towards prints. (this is not available for the Saturday session.)
I'm not sure if I will ever do this again, so you should all take advantage of it now!!!
Call us to schedule your time. We only have a few sessions available and are going to book fast.

Thank you for your service Shaun....
Shaun grew up 2 house down from me from age 2 until I was out of high school. He was pretty much like my brother the entire time. We rode bikes, played forts, built snow slides and castles, and football in the street. I have so many memories of my friend.
After High School we lost touch for awhile. I did my thing and Shaun joined the Army. About 5 years ago I was able to reconnect with him for a bit, but then lost track of him once more only knowing that he could be called to go to Iraq at any time. About a year ago I started googling his name to try to find him again and I was desperate to make sure that he was ok.
I was so glad when I found out that he was ok. He was serving in Iraq and had been for awhile. He had also gotten married and had a little boy. I managed to make contact with his wife, Keri, and reconnected with Shaun and his family through my favorite thing... facebook!!!
About a month ago I saw a post that Keri had written to Shaun on facebook. She told him that his son had just taken his first steps. My heart was broken...he wasn't here to see his son turn 1 or take his first steps. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to not have my husband here to see Kailee grow up in these most important moments. I really wanted to do something for Shaun so that he could see his son and have pictures that documented this place of his life.
I emailed Keri and asked her if I could do a session for Desi, their 1 year old son. She was thrilled and agreed to meet me to get some pictures done.
A couple of weeks ago we met up and I was able to meet Keri and Desi for the first time. It was special to me to meet the wife and son of a friend that was more like a brother. I felt like I was meeting family.
We took some great pictures of Desi and I hope these pictures will help Shaun to see what an amazingly cute and wonderful Kid he has waiting for him when he gets home.
I have to thank Shaun so much for serving this country and protecting all of us. He truly is a hero. Thank you Shaun, I hope you enjoy these pictures of your family.
Isn't he Beautiful!
Love this!
Keri is gorgeous!
Sweet Moment.
He LOVED this!
Look at those eyes!
Love it!
Such a cute kid!
I love this one of Desi and Keri
You are all in my prayers... come home soon Shaun!

This picture reminds me of the pirates of the carribean.. there is a scene where the pirates have a bone and are trying to get the dog to give them the keys... I just think it's hilarious!!! We got Reece to smile though!
